Logo story

We needed a simple mark that conveys communication, loops, and feels simple while bringing a spark of joy. Chickadees are known for their vocalizations so it seemed fitting to use one as the icon.

Client: Dying on Hills

Dying on Hills is a side project I launched aimed at inclusivity and representation in the outdoors. It tracks data about ultralight gear such as manufacture location and diversity of marketing.

Logo story

The Dying on Hills symbol aims to show the exasperation of what it can feel like to be unheard, while comically nodding to how it feels to reach a summit when you’re deep in the slog. The negative space uses a skull as a snowcap.
